I work on backend system by adding an error-handling middleware that returns clear messages instead of crashing. I also set up a logging system to record all issues for easier debugging and created a health check endpoint to confirm the server is running properly. I have bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and i am doing Master in Big Data Analytics. I like to lift some weights and train Muay Thai. Also,I love riding motorcycle.

My Name is Carlos, I joined September 29/2025. I leveraged AI to help me put together a small app that works with the deepgram API to transcribe audio, and the langchain API using a claude anthropic key to produce an ai generated response to the transcribed audio

I am leading BirthdayMessaging.io’s newly established Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) division, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and structuring acquisition opportunities. My main work involves building and managing a 10-week acquisition project plan, guiding a small team, and developing research pipelines for both web assets (Chrome extensions, SaaS tools) and New Zealand property opportunities. I also coordinate with Alex on strategy, team progress, and reporting. I’m a final-year Bachelor of Business (Economics major, HRM minor) student at Auckland University of Technology. I’m passionate about entrepreneurship, strategic growth, and using innovative financing to create scalable business models. Outside of work, I enjoy creative projects inspired by my Papua New Guinea heritage, including traditional designs and community initiatives. A fun fact: I’m balancing this internship plus taking an extra course, while being a full-time parent, which has taught me a lot about resilience and time management!

My projects involved client research which composed of crafting customer personas to better understand them and industry analysis to understand the landscape, competition and tech trends shaping the industry. I also worked on the customer acquisition team project aimed at bringing in customers to drive business. Additionally, I worked on project strategic planning which included digital marketing and content creation, and also adapting strategies to effectively keep track of team efforts.

Projects worked on: I have worked on almost every part of the Birthday Messaging Chrome Extension. Some areas I have worked on especially are on authentication, database design, and frontend pages such as the template and contacts page. As technical lead, my main responsibility is to give advice on the technical direction of different aspects of the project. This entails meeting to discuss how issues are handled and outlining acceptance criteria and user stories for new issues. Some of my other responsibilities as technical lead have been helping run standups and leading the sprint reviews. My Name is Thomas and I work as a Technical Lead at Birthday Messaging. I am a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where I graduated with a degree in computer science.
